About the event (English):
The pervasion of computation across society has brought a new era of record. From the mundane of liking a social media post to a continuous GPS trace of a day, from routine high-resolution earth imaging to incident level crime data; lived experience is increasingly rendered digitally. This shift brings new opportunities for storytellers and journalists. Not only have the tools to find and tell stories changed, but so has the definition of what constitutes a story. This talk will explore the possibilities in these new forms of story exploration and presentation through the research of the Brown Institute for Media Innovation.
