In 1980, the Royal Society of Fine Arts founded the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts that has the largest collection of artworks by contemporary artists from the Developing World.
The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts is one of the major art museums in the Middle East and houses a unique permanent collection of contemporary art from the Developing World.
The collection comprises over 2000 works including paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, installations, weavings, and ceramics by more than 900 artists from 60 countries mainly in Asia, Africa.

أسست الجمعية الملكية للفنون الجميلة في عام 1980 المتحف الوطني الأردني للفنون الجميلة، الذي يمتلك مجموعة دائمة مميزة لفنانين معاصرين في العالم النامي، وهو أحد أهم المتاحف في المنطقة، وتضم مجموعته ما يزيد على 2000 عمل فني من تصوير وطباعة ونحت وصور ضوئية وإنشاءات فراغية وخزف ومنسوجات لأكثر من 900 فنان من 60 دولة، معظمهم من آسيا وإفريقيا.
